He decided on a complete career change 3 years ago and although it will bear fruit eventually, I think he’d underestimated the hard slog of study. He has his son 50/50 so it’s a balancing act. Stress creeps up on you and it really messes you up in so many subtle and not so subtle ways doesn’t it? Then you find you’re making it worse or feeding the anxiety by all these sensations or ‘symptoms’ and just get yourself worked up even more? I’ve always had anxiety and I’ve tried (and am still trying) to manage it successfully. Leaving other social media and just doing Substack has helped me so much. It’s quieter and less pressure.
I’m sure we could learn from our dogs? This current heatwave, our 2 have been strategically placed near one of the many fans and pretty much napped all day. If only…💁🏼♀️🤣
Oh Tom, so pleased to hear you’re ok.
Ahh the joys of waiting in A&E 😐
I was there last year with my son. He was 33 and had started with chest pains.
He had the works. ECG, chest x ray, bloods and a thorough check up by different physicians.
He’s a hairy guy; think Gibbon 🙄and he was mortified he had to have his chest shaved for the sticky pads.
We were there 6 hours in all and it was during last years heatwave.
His is stress. He’s on the final hurdle with his Law degree and it’s heavy study.
We’re both trying to deal with our stress/anxiety and it’s a bugger sometimes to nail exactly what it is our body is trying to communicate?
It’s a work in progress.
Hope you and Nala are doing ok ☺️
It’s not a fun experience is it! Then the feeling you’re there because you’ve drove yourself to ot 🤣. I hope he feels lighter when his studies finish!
I’m getting there. I’ve had to accept slowing down this week! The dog is probably having a better time for it 🤣
